About Flourish Without Flour:
Flourish Without Flour is a place for simple, gluten‑free, lower‑carb, blood‑sugar‑friendly recipes, grounded in nutrition science but built for real life. The name is a play on words - inspired by my wheat allergy (and using less traditional flour) and my years working with people managing diabetes who often benefit from meals with less flour and starch. Here, you'll find recipes that taste like the foods you love, without the ingredients that make you feel restricted. I love rebuilding classic cravings and weeknight staples with a healthy approach, and every recipe is tested multiple times to make sure it's reliable and simple enough for even the busiest days.
My Story:
I've always loved to cook - when I was a kid and teen, you could almost always find me in the kitchen experimenting, creating, and usually making a mess. That early love of food is what led me to study nutrition, which then brought me into the clinical and counseling world. I enjoyed that work, but I've always been happiest when I'm creating. Couple that with years of my clients asking me for one trusted place to find reliable, gluten‑free, lower‑carb, blood‑sugar‑friendly recipes - and that's exactly why I created this site. It's a way to share my years of expertise while rediscovering the creative side of food.

Outside of the blog:
When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll usually find me outdoors - near the water, hiking, swimming, or walking with my kids. I'm originally from Alabama, but Texas has been home for more than a decade. I'm a mom of two - an active 7‑year‑old boy and a happy but bossy 1‑year‑old girl - plus two giant dogs who keep our home lively.
